Pomegranate Mint Sparkling Water Mocktail Recipe
Pomegranate juice and fresh mint are all you need to take your sparkling water to the next level. The simple mixture yields an antioxidant-packed non-alcoholic cocktail that is as tasty as it is pretty. Unsweetened 100% pomegranate juice is used in this recipe because not only are you going to get more of the tartness from the juice but pomegranates are fairly high in natural sugar so any additional sweetness will just mask all the flavor that the jewel-like arils have to offer. That pure pomegranate flavor is only enhanced further when mint is added. The herb brings a cool, incredibly refreshing touch to the sparkling water and its astringency melds really well with the bitter-tasting tannins in pomegranate juice. To make this sparkling water even more appealing, consider garnishing with fresh mint leaves and/or pomegranate arils if you feel like breaking down a fruit.
