How are non-alcoholic spirits made?

Some zero proof spirits are distilled and dealcoholized. In this process, spirits are made in their full form with alcohol content before undergoing a process that removes the alcohol. The non-alcoholic spirit is then crafted into its final state with less than 0.5% ABV.
