  • Are all of your products 100% alcohol free?

    Not all of our non-alcoholic beverages are 100% alcohol-free. Some contain trace amounts of alcohol at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.  This is consistent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s labeling policy, which permits the use of the term, “non-alcoholic” to describe a product that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

    If you are looking for products that are 0.0% alcohol by volume, look for the "Alcohol-Free" badge on the product page.

  • Are your products safe to consume during pregnancy?

    We carry a few hundred different products on our website with all different ingredients. We suggest you consult with your doctor regarding specific ingredients. Everything we carry is non-alcoholic-- less than 0.5% ABV-- and very popular with our customers who are pregnant (and those who aren't, too)!

    Some of our products contain adaptogens, nootropics, and other herbs that are not recommended for people who are pregnant, but we're not doctors and do not give medical advice. Every body and pregnancy is different, so we suggest talking to a healthcare professional if you're unsure.

  • Can I drink a non-alcoholic spirit “neat” (by itself)?

    Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.

  • What is dealcoholized wine?

    Dealcoholized wine is wine that has gone through the entire wine making process-- pressing, fermentation, and aging-- before the alcohol is removed.

    Most wines are dealcoholized using a technique called "vacuum distillation", where the wine is heated under a vacuum at very low temperatures. This allows for the alcohol to evaporate at a much lower temperature than boiling it off on your stove, like when you cook with alcohol or spirits. The result is that the flavor molecules that make up the flavor notes stay intact, giving our dealcoholized wines their characteristic complexity.

    Sometimes, producers may add grape juice, grape must (a crush of whole grapes), sugar, or flavoring agents back to the dealcoholized wine in order to bulk up the body or balance the flavor.

  • What does it mean to be 0.5% ABV?

    For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

  • Can I return my order?

    If your order arrived incorrect and is unconsumed and unopened, we will work with you to get a replacement or refund. Just let us know within 30 days from when you receive the product. Shoot us a note with your order number and reason for return, and we’ll start the process — hello@thezeroproof.com. Please note, we cannot accept returns or process refunds of opened bottles.

  • How much is shipping?

    Orders above $125 include free shipping! Anything below is a flat $10.99 for the entire order (so make sure you order more bottles!).

  • I received a delivery confirmation, but no package is here. Is it lost?

    If our customers opt-in to Shipping Protection at checkout, The Zero Proof team will quickly process claims and replace or refund your order if it’s lost in transit or stolen. If something goes wrong with your order, just let us know by reporting any issues in the order tracking portal. We make it easy for you. Should you opt-out of Shipping Protection, we can’t be held responsible for any issues that arise once your order leaves our facility... You’ll need to file any claims directly with the carrier and not with The Zero Proof (we promise we’ll provide a much smoother and pleasant experience!).

  • What if an incorrect item was received with my order?

    We do our best to carefully prepare and ship your package as ordered, however sometimes there is room for human error. We apologize! If that is the case, please chat with us or send us an email at hello@thezeroproof.com. Provide your order number, explain the issue, and include images so we can take care of it.

  • What if my order is missing an item?

    If you have ordered multiple items, your order may be divided in separate shipments, and delivered at different times. Please chat with us or email us at hello@thezeroproof.com, with your order number and the missing item or items, so we can look into it for you.

  • What if my order was damaged?

    We want our customers to have the best possible experience. And while we pack each order with extreme care, we can’t control what happens when your order leaves our warehouse. If our customers opt-in to Shipping Protection at checkout, The Zero Proof team will quickly process claims and replace or refund your order if it’s lost in transit, stolen, or damaged. If something goes wrong with your order, just let us know by reporting any issues in the order tracking portal. We make it easy for you. Should you opt-out of Shipping Protection, we can’t be held responsible for any issues that arise once your order leaves our facility...   • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and all of that other good stuff (if checking out from your mobile device).

  • When will I receive my order?

    Your package should arrive in 5-7 business days, but please allow some extra time during the winter. As always, we will communicate as your shipments go out. Thank you for your patience!

  • Where do you ship?

    We currently ship to the 48 continental United States. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, or internationally-- yet!
