What does this chile syrup taste like?

It's sweet and spicy at once — cinnamon warmth from cassia chips layered with the bright heat and distinct smokiness of chile de arbol. Vanilla bean rounds it out, so the heat feels warming rather than sharp.

What drinks should I use it in?

It shines in agave-forward drinks: stir a generous pour with ISH Mexican Agave Spirit, ice, and All the Bitter Orange bitters for a non-alcoholic Oaxacan-style old-fashioned. It's also great in a margarita, or drizzled into hot chocolate with a splash of non-alcoholic tequila.

What's in it, and how big is the bottle?

The 16 fl oz bottle is made in small batches from cane sugar, water, chile de arbol, cassia chips, vanilla bean, and citric acid.

Who makes pink House Alchemy and where are they located?

pink House Alchemy is a small-batch syrup, shrub, and bitters maker based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in the northwest corner of the state. It was founded by Emily Lawson, who got the idea while working a farmers market booth for a local coffee roaster and decided she could do better than the artificial syrups on hand. The company says all of its products, including the Mexican Chile and Lavender simple syrups, are made in Fayetteville.
