Trejo's Spirits Non-Alcoholic American Whiskey

It's rich and complex, made with whiskey lovers in mind. That depth means it holds up on its own as well as it does in a mixed drink.

Enjoy it neat, on the rocks, or in the cocktail of your choice — it's particularly good in an Old Fashioned. For a whiskey sour, shake it with lemon juice and simple syrup over ice and strain.

Each bottle is 750 ml, the same format as a standard spirits bottle, so it slots right into your home bar.

Trejo's Spirits is the zero-proof line from actor and restaurateur Danny Trejo, who has been sober for more than 50 years and wanted drinks everyone at the table could enjoy. The company lists its address as Trejo's Spirits LLC, 631 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, California. The lineup started with the Tequila Alternative and has grown to include the American Whiskey alternative we carry.

For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

Some contain trace amounts of alcohol at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.  This is consistent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s labeling policy, which permits the use of the term, “non-alcoholic” to describe a product that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.
