Gnista Pink Non-Alcoholic Gin

It leads with classic gin botanicals like juniper, then adds a tangy twist of spring rhubarb and green tea. A touch of pepper gives it a nice bite on the finish.

The rose color is made for a pretty pink cocktail — try a non-alcoholic Spanish Gin and Tonic in a balloon glass with plenty of herbal garnishes. For a pink French 75, shake it with fresh lemon juice and simple syrup, strain into a champagne flute, and top with ISH Sparkling Rosé. It's also good simply sipped or in a spritz.

Each bottle is 500 milliliters, which leaves you room for a round of gin and tonics or brunch cocktails.

Gnista is made by Gnista Spirits AB, a Swedish company founded by Erika Eklundh (credited in earlier press as Erika Ollén). The company is based in Malmö, in the Skåne region of southern Sweden, and its drinks are handcrafted in small batches nearby using distillation, brewing, smoking and barrel ageing. The wine alternatives, like the Red Italian, are produced in Kristianstad by Balsgård Foodtech for Gnista Spirits.

For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

Not all of our non-alcoholic beverages are 100% alcohol-free. Some contain trace amounts of alcohol at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.  This is consistent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s labeling policy, which permits the use of the term, “non-alcoholic” to describe a product that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.
