Pentire Adrift Non-Alcoholic Spirit

It's a clean, herbal spirit with notes of ocean breeze, sea salt and lemon zest. The botanical blend includes rock samphire, sage, Pentire's own plant blend, lemon citrus and Cornish sea salt, making it well rounded and refreshing.

The classic Pentire serve is with light tonic, a sprig of rosemary and a lemon peel — or keep it simple with a Pentire & Tonic with lime. It also swaps in for vodka in a non-alcoholic Tom Collins: 75ml Pentire, 25ml fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of sugar or squeeze of honey, and 150ml soda water.

Each 700ml bottle contains water, British sea herb extract blend, lemon juice from concentrate, natural flavors, malic acid, Cornish sea salt and potassium sorbate, with 0g sugar and 0g carbs.

Pentire is made by Pentire Drinks, a small independent company on the coast of Cornwall in the UK. Founder Alistair Frost, a former bartender and keen surfer, started the brand in 2019 from his home in North Cornwall, naming it after the Pentire headland; co-founder Edward Grieg-Gran later helped build out the US side of the business. The range is built around botanicals native to the Cornish coastline, like rock samphire and sea rosemary.

For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

Not all of our non-alcoholic beverages are 100% alcohol-free. Some contain trace amounts of alcohol at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.  This is consistent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s labeling policy, which permits the use of the term, “non-alcoholic” to describe a product that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.
