Ritual Zero Proof Non-Alcoholic Tequila

It's smoky on the nose with a blue agave palate and notes of Mexican lime, guava and cracked sea salt. Black peppercorn and green bell pepper bring the spice, while mesquite smoke and charred oak give it that familiar afterburn.

Shake 2 oz Tequila Alternative, 2 oz fresh lime juice and 1 oz simple syrup with ice, then pour into a salt-rimmed glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Ritual developed this one specifically for non-alcoholic margaritas, so keeping it simple works best.

Each 750 ml bottle is made with filtered water, natural flavors, cane sugar, citric acid, xanthan gum, salt, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as preservatives, and caramel color. It's 0 calories with 1g carbohydrates and less than 1g sugar per 44 ml serving, and it's gluten free plus peanut and tree nut free.

Ritual Zero Proof is made by Ritual Beverage Company, which is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Best friends David Crooch, Marcus Sakey, and GG Sakey launched the brand there in 2019 after working through hundreds of recipes with bartenders and chefs. In September 2024, Diageo North America acquired Ritual, with co-founder David Crooch staying on with the brand.

For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.
