Wilderton Lustre Non-Alcoholic Spirit

Lustre is light and uplifting, with tangy, bright, herbal notes of Seville orange, tarragon, and lavender. It's a refreshing, lively pour rather than a heavy or smoky one.

The easiest way is over ice with tonic water. It also shines in cocktail recipes where you want a bright citrus-herbal backbone.

Yes — Lustre works as a substitute for Triple Sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier in cocktails, thanks to its bitter orange character. The bottle is 750 ml, so there's plenty for mixing.

Wilderton was founded in 2019 by Brad Whiting and Seth O'Malley, two veterans of Oregon's craft spirits scene, and the brand is based in Hood River, Oregon. In July 2023 they opened what was reported to be the country's first distillery and tasting room dedicated entirely to non-alcoholic spirits, at 407 Portway Avenue on the Hood River waterfront. Please note that the founders announced in January 2026 that the company is shutting down; the tasting room closed in August 2025 and the distillery was set to close at the end of January 2026.

For a drink to be legally non-alcoholic, it has to be 0.5% alcohol by volume or less. While this doesn't make it totally alcohol-free, it does mean it is impossible to experience any intoxication or other psychoactive effects from alcohol. For context, a slice of sourdough bread or a ripe banana has more alcohol by volume than any of our drinks!

Not all of our non-alcoholic beverages are 100% alcohol-free. Some contain trace amounts of alcohol at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.  This is consistent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s labeling policy, which permits the use of the term, “non-alcoholic” to describe a product that contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

Non-alcoholic spirits are specifically developed for mixing in non-alcoholic cocktails. These spirits taste great when mixed with soda water, tonic water, sodas, juices, and even other non-alcoholic spirits, but they might taste a little weird on their own. You're welcome to try them neat (we can't stop you!), but we don't recommend assessing whether or not you like a non-alcoholic spirit without mixing it, first.
