Liber & Co. Classic Gum Cocktail Syrup (750 mL)

Along with pure cane sugar, this syrup includes African acacia gum (gum arabic), which gives drinks a silky, luxuriant mouthfeel and adds body. You can use it anywhere a recipe calls for simple syrup for a noticeable upgrade.

Just cane sugar, filtered water, gum arabic, citric acid, and benzoic acid. Each 0.5 fl oz serving has 45 calories and 11g sugar.

Liber & Co. is a Texas cocktail syrup maker started in 2011 by Chris Harrison and brothers Adam and Robert Higginbotham, who met as students at the University of Texas at Austin. They make their syrups in their own production facility in Central Texas — their site's about page describes a custom facility in Austin, TX, while their current listed address is 4045 Airport Rd. in Georgetown, TX, just north of Austin. The syrups themselves are non-alcoholic, so they work just as well in zero-proof drinks as in cocktails.
