Hot Not Toddy
This recipe was given to us from the amazing women behind Cherokee Moon vinegars, tonics and shrubs. We met them while doing our first city guide in Athens, Georgia and they were kind enough to share with us. We highly suggest grabbing a bottle of their Southern Woods Green Tonic, but if you can't try and find something with similar ingredients.
The Hot Not Toddy mocktail, featuring Southern Woods is perfect for an outdoor evening or chilly autumn afternoon served hot and garnished with Juniper and Cardamom-Sugared Apple Chips.
Southern Woods is great for anyone who loves sour drinks and prefers the sweetness to be balanced with botanical flavors. Its a premier showing of the green herbs from our gardens including: Lemongrass, Juniper, Holy Basil (Tulsi), Rosemary, Pine, and Thyme alongside GA-Grown Green Apples and Sorghum. This particular formula is refreshing for the hottest days yet hardy enough to be prepared as a hot drink for cold evenings, promotes digestion, circulation, relaxation, stress, and is a great "aide" for cold/flu season.
