The Bitter Storm

We've seen a few virgin dark and stormy's so we'll keep adding them as they come. This one was inspired by our friends at the Bittermilk who make a Falernum syrup (very important to have for this recipe). The syrup combines essential flavor profiles from the island (nutmeg, ginger, lime) and end up working perfectly with ginger beer.


  • Island Spiced Syrup (try Falernum from Bittermilk) 3/4 ounces

  • Ginger Beer, 2-3 ounces

  • Lime juice, 1/2 ounce

  • Soda water

  • Lime wedge


  1. Combined all ingredients in chilled large glass

  2. Top with lime wedge
